Structure complex operations around a context

Use a shared context for multi-step operations, with named phases for validation, computation, execution, and recording state changes. Keep simple functions simple.

Make storage layout explicit

Document packed storage with slot diagrams, byte sizes, and padding. Group fields by how they are read and written, and record the reasoning.

Make failures and side effects easy to trace

Use parameterized custom errors and function names that distinguish computation, external calls, and persistent writes. Review each helper against those boundaries.
